That’s why I focus on estate and business planning together.

Why This Matters

My own family history shaped how I see this work.

My grandfather was an architect who passed down his knowledge to my father, who became a master builder and later a developer. He built something meaningful, but when he retired, there was no plan for it to continue.

On my mother’s side, my great-grandparents were farmers and sharecroppers who became landowners. My mother’s great-grandmother used to say, “There is money under this ground.” Later, it became known that she was right, there's oil there, but without a clear plan, that land and its value became fragmented over time.

I’ve seen both sides: someone build, and someone inherit. And I’ve seen what happens when there is no structure to carry things forward.
